The Department of Food Science and Nutrition at Illinois Tech presents its fall 2025 seminar series featuring guest speaker Tamanna Ramesh, director of Gobal Innovation Programs at The Cooca-Cola Company, who will present “LinkedIn Network Mapping for Early Career Success.” This seminar will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 12:45–1:45 p.m. over Zoom.

Abstract

In today’s digital-first world, LinkedIn is more than just an online resume—it’s your personal brand, your network, and your gateway to opportunities. This session will empower early career professionals to elevate their LinkedIn presence, authentically connect with others, and unlock doors through intentional networking strategies.

Biography

 works as the director of Global Innovation Programs at The Coca-Cola Company. Ramesh also helps international talent in the United States navigate career- and talent-based visa roadblocks through her personal brand, . Ramesh has more than a decade of experience in the food and beverage industry, leading process, equipment, technology, product, and ingredient innovation to commercialization. Ramesh has an M.S. in food science and human nutrition from the University of Maine and a global M.B.A. from Indiana University and the University of Manchester.

Throughout her career journey, Ramesh has been actively involved with the Institute of Food Technologists, founding and leading the Women’s Resource Group, serving as the chair of the Product Development Division, and president of the Southeastern IFT. Ramesh is fond of serving and supporting the community of food professionals. She currently lives in Atlanta and enjoys travel, nature, food, and adventure.
