Professor Miles Wernick’s Predictive Policing Model Highlighted by Several News Publications
Miles Wernick, Motorola Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering; Director of Medical Imaging Research Center (MIRC); and Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Armour College of Engineering, was featured in articles in The Economist and Â鶹APP Defender for an algorithm he developed for the Â鶹APP Police Department. The algorithm applies ten variables to gauge a person’s likelihood to be involved in violence in Â鶹APP.
