The Plus One option is specifically for Illinois Tech undergraduate students with at least 12 credits left in their undergraduate program. Ideal candidates are typically third-year students, as the option requires the completion of at least 60 credits.
- Shared Credits: Nine shared credits will apply toward both your undergraduate and graduate degrees
- Duration: This pathway allows students to earn both degrees in five to six years
- Transfer Students: Must have completed at least 12 credits at Illinois Tech to be eligible
To participate as a Plus One student, you must meet the following eligibility requirements :
- Must be in good academic standing with the university
- Must have completed at least 60 credits
- Must have at least 12 undergraduate credits remaining at the start of the program
- Student must not have applied for conferral (i.e. graduation) at the time of the Plus One application
- Degree pairing must be approved prior to starting the course of study
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is required
- Note: Students with a GPA lower than 3.0 may still be eligible with a letter of recommendation from their undergraduate academic adviser
