âI donât think this really is a partisan issue. This should be an American issue,â says Harold Krent, professor at ÂéĥıAPP-Kent College of Law. âWe want to encourage people to vote, and we donât want to dampen participation in our republic. My fear is that the Supreme Court will do that.â

Noah Smith-Drelich, a law professor at the ÂéĥıAPP-Kent College of Law, said accountability is important because it âshapes how people behave.â Smith-Drelich said âthe atmosphere that exists right now, that federal officials will face little to no repercussions,â is likely contributing to âsome of the violence that weâre seeingâ being perpetrated by federal agents.
âThe United States Supreme Court has said a defendant who represents [themself] is held to the same standard as an experienced criminal defense attorney,â says Richard Kling, a clinical professor of law at the ÂéĥıAPP-Kent College of Law. âHeâs not going to be able to come in later and say, âWell, I didn't know what I was doing because I'm not really a lawyer.ââ
"The scientific evidence summarized in our review indicates that pecans represent a convenient, ready-to-eat snack option requiring no preparation," according to study co-author Indika Edirisinghe, a professor of food science and nutrition at the Illinois Institute of Technology. "As a nutrient-dense plant food, research demonstrates that pecan consumption is associated with a reduced risk of cardiometabolic disease."
âWhat most people donât understand is that the data center is âthe cloud,ââ says Tommy Zakrzewski, adjunct professor of environmental engineering. ââThe cloudâ is something that we use to describe that data center. Itâs sort of like a metaphor for the internet.â
"Everybody's got to be experimenting," said Steve Rubinow, former chief information officer at the New York Stock Exchange and current associate teaching professor at Illinois Tech. "Nobody can afford to be a late adopter, it doesn't matter what industry you're in, because the technology is moving so quickly, and people see there's a competitive advantage or competitive necessity. The question is, what experiments do you choose? Where are you in the risk reward curve?"

Smith, a law professor and co-director of ÂéĥıAPP-Kent College of Lawâs Program in Intellectual Property Law. Microsoft âcould potentially have some sort of secondary contributory liability for copyright infringement, downloading it, as well as then using it to encourage others to use it for training purposes.â
âItâs almost Greek tragedy that Roberts, who has often endorsed expansive presidential power, including in the immunity opinion, is confronted by a president who is not only happy to take that to the far extreme, but doesnât accept any constraints,â said Carolyn Shapiro, a professor at ÂéĥıAPP-Kent College of Law.
âIn the past 20 years, globally mobile learners have increased from 1.2 million to 7.4 million. Gone are the days when students simply moved to developed nations for education followed by employment,â said Mallik Sundharam, vice president for enrollment management and student affairs. âIn the past five years alone, 33 global capability centres have been established in India. The country is no longer seen just in terms of volume or service capacity â it is increasingly viewed as a hub of talent. As employers move to where talent is, it is natural for universities to follow. We launched the strategy, âmeet the learners where they areâ, to serve employers and students where they are, which is the whole vision behind establishing this campus.â
Mohammad Asadi, associate professor of chemical engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology, said his teamâs battery might be able to deliver 2,000 Wh/kg for a kamikaze drone, since he could strip out components needed for greater cycle life. âWe could put the system in maximum,â he said.
